The church in Barnimie already existed before 1492, but there are no records on this fact. It is known that in 1492 "master" Paulus Rotzke was appointed a vicar in the parish church. When in 1903 the church completely burned down, only the tower remained. Over the battlement there is a slim octagonal Gothic brick cupola. In the tower, on the southern side, there is a three-stepped portal. In the southern part of the elevation of the tower there are dates engraved in the plaster, which commemorate the renovation works in the building. These are as follows: 1531, 1689, 1719, 1820, 1839, 1867, 1891, 1903, 1963 and 1999.
