St John the Baptist Church

Dodaj do planera
Both the church and the first mention of the village of Grabin date back to the beginning of the 14th Century. As most of the churches in that period, it was built with wood. In the 16th Century, Grabin was acquired by the von Stoessel family. Since Protestantism was the dominant confession at the time, the church was converted into a Protestant temple. The church was completely remodelled in 1776 when the Żychliński family acquired Grabin. The half-timbered structure with brick filling, built on a rectangular plan with a pentagonal eastern wall, was covered with a double-pitched roof. On the western side, there is a steeple with a roof lantern. After 1945, the temple was taken over by Roman Catholics and converted into a Catholic church.
