Joanna Kulmowa is best known as a Polish poet, but she also wrote prose, stage plays and children’s books, worked as a director and cultural events manager. For 35 years, the Kulms lived in Strumiany near Stettin. Joanna was an acclaimed poet who received numerous awards. The last one, the Konstanty Ildefons Gałczyński Poetic Award (known as “Orpheus”) was awarded to her posthumously in 2018.
