According to parish chronicles, the age of the old church was estimated at around 600 years. However, "gnawed by the tooth of time" at the end of March 1922, it was demolished, giving way to a new one. For Fr. The parish priest Michalec was built on the site of the old wooden church, which was in danger of collapsing, a new church.
The construction of the new church began in April 1922. The entire community participated in obtaining field stones for the construction of new foundations of the church. On May 18, 1922, the cornerstone laying ceremony took place. Along with the cornerstone, there were placed: banknotes, current newspapers and information about the situation in the church and school in the Rudno commune at that time.
The church took on a new look in 1975. At that time, a general renovation was carried out, the fruit of which was the interior painting, marble lining of the presbytery floor, parquet mosaic laying on the altar, and the bas-relief decorated the Lord's Table.
