Kłopot village

Dodaj do planera
A quaint and picturesque village, known as the “stork village” for its unusually high number of white stork nests. Kłopot is an old Lusatian village, likely founded in the first half of the 13th century. The cultural values of the village include the Medieval rundling layout and the arrangement of homesteads, reminiscent of townhouses. Built during the interwar period, the bridge connected the village of Kłopot (Kloppitz) with Fürstenberg (which is currently the river bank quarter of Eisenhüttenstadt). In 1945, the retreating German army blew up the steel middle span of the bridge, leaving the brick spans on both sides of the river. In 2000, during the renovation of the flood banks, a body of a German soldier in a complete uniform was uncovered, complete with numerous unexploded ordnance, shells and other armament.
