After many struggles with formalities and the authorities of the Polish People's Republic, the construction was completed (1985).
Giving the church the title of the Conversion of St. Paul referred to the old tradition, as in the 13th century the only church in Pyskowice was consecrated to St. Paul. The cornerstone, embedded in the presbytery of the church, was consecrated by Pope John Paul II during his stay on St. Anna. On September 21, 2003, the then Bishop Ordinary of the Diocese of Gliwice, Jan Wieczorek, and the Auxiliary Bishop of the Opole Diocese, Paweł Stobrawa, consecrated the church.
