The construction was completed in 1999. On August 29 of the same year, the bishop of Gliwice, Jan Wieczorek, consecrated the new church. The church measures 45 x 25 m, and the tower rises 45 m. The interior was designed in 2008 by architect Jan Rabiej from Gliwice. The author of the monumental "Crucifixion Group" on the altar wall is sculptor Henryk Fojcik from Rybnik.
The Lisów parish is one of the most extensive in the diocese. Apart from Lisów, there are as many as 15 villages, of which the villages of Łęg and Turza are the farthest, 6 km from the parish church.
