The synagogue in Toszek was built in 1836 at Piastowska street 13.
During the so-called Kristallnacht (1938), the Nazis devastated the synagogue building, which was then abandoned for many years and fell into ruin.
In 1976, a plot of land with the remains of the synagogue foundation was purchased by a natural person who built a private house there in the following years.
In 2012, a commemorative plaque was placed at the former location of the building: “In this place in the years 1836–1938 there was a synagogue, destroyed by Nazi Germans during Kristallnacht, November 9–10, 1938. In memory of the Jews of Toszek. Toszek, 9 November 2012 ”.
