The first information about the church in Toszek comes from the bull of Pope Innocent issued in 1201. The present church was built in 1445. In the years 1713-1715 it was thoroughly rebuilt. In the church there is a painting of the Virgin Mary from 1687, venerated by the inhabitants. In 1844, the parish church was enriched with an organ made by Moritz Robert Müller from Wrocław.
In 1924, a grotto was built next to the church, similar to the Grotto in Lourdes.
