The "Las Dąbrowa" reserve lies to the east of the center of Gliwice, partially within the city itself, partially in the village of Kozłów, which is part of the Sośnicowice commune.
The host here is the “Rudziniec” Forest Inspectorate. The reserve is one of the youngest in Silesia, as it was created by the decision of the Silesian Voivode in 2008. Over 76 and a half hectares of land, mainly forested, are under protection; a vast buffer zone was marked out around, covering over 232 ha. The forests cover hilly terrain with numerous ponds, streams and wet meadows. The main task of the "Las Dąbrowa" reserve is the protection of forest complexes preserved in a condition little damaged by humans
The vegetation of the reserve is very rich, it is also rich in protected species, such as for example daffodil, lily of the valley, ovoid leaf and many others. In addition, a very rare bird - the white-backed woodpecker has been observed in the local forests. The reserve has been made available to tourists in an attractive way.
