Łęg nad Młynówka" is a dense forest complex, located in a natural depression of the area, through which the Młynówka river flows, also known as the Jeżowski Stream.
The purpose of establishing the reserve was to preserve - for scientific, natural and didactic reasons - the local forest, water and marsh biocenoses. The reserve is located within the "Lasy nad Górną Liswarta" Landscape Park.
