The beginning of the 20th century in the parish of Zbrosławice was characterized by construction works on a scale unknown in the past. Simultaneously with one of the major renovations of the parish church in Zbrosławice, a branch church was built in the nearby Miedary, which several years later became the parish church of the newly established parish of St. Florian. It was during the church fair in Zbrosławice on August 21, 1910, the parish priest F. Sobota, immediately after the service, went to Miedary, where in the afternoon the ceremony of laying the cornerstone for the construction of the church took place.

Preparatory works for the construction, led by the master builder Edmund Dziuba from Tarnowskie Góry, began in July 1910, because the Catholic inhabitants of Miedary had long wanted their own church.

The building permit was obtained from the church authorities in 1908. The area for the church was donated by local farmers, Jan Gryc and Paweł Krafczyk. In March 1909, the architect Karl Korbsch from Tranowskie Góry presented a project of a new church, which was approved by the Parish Board. Finally, the permission of the state authorities was also obtained (7/9/1910) and the work could begin.

A small church can only accommodate 350 to 400 people.

Only a year has passed since the start of construction, when on the autumn Sunday, October 22, 1911, Fr. the parish priest F. Sobota consecrated the Medieval church. The end of construction works and the furnishing of the church continued for several years (due to the parallel renovation of the parish church) and finally ended in 1916.

Saint Florian - He is revered as a powerful patron in the danger of fire or water, and as steelworkers, firefighters and chimney sweeps.
