In the forest wilderness of the "Hubert" nature reserve, located north of the village of Toszek, near the villages of Dąbrówka, Świbie and Barut, there is a memorial with a monument with a high cross, dedicated to the brutally murdered here in September 1946 - by the communist office Security - about 200 soldiers of the National Armed Forces, the Home Army and the Polish Armed Forces in the West. This event was called the "Silesian Katyn".
