The present parish church was built in the 15th century. In 1578, the Protestant owner of the village, Count Frederick Schamberg, contributed to the fire of the church by firing a bomb at the church tower. After the fire, the church was rebuilt in 1585 (now the porch and the church tower). In 1834, the church was enlarged by adding: the nave, chancel, sacristy, vestibule and a Marian chapel. In 1881, a new choir was erected in the western part of the nave. The church has a historic bell from 1489 with the inscription: "O rex gloriae, veni cum pace". The stained glass windows of the church come from 1930.
