The Maszówek Canal is a former arm of the Warta River Delta, which was straightened on 90% of its length by our ancestors. A trip on this canal is recommendable for two reasons: Firstly, it passes through the centre of the Northern Polder, a large area of the "Ujście Warty" National Park, where a human interference is slight. Secondly, it is a really kayaker-friendly watercourse, so it can be recommended even to those "who are afraid of kayaking". A trip on the described section of the canal is the most attractive from the middle of April to the middle of June. The meadows blossom in this period and the landscape around is particularly idyllic.
