On the border of the village of Smolnica with the town of Sośnicowice, at Wiejska street, intersecting with Graniczna Street, is a brick, plastered, rectangular shape, covered with a red cylindrical roof - a chapel.
Inside, on a plinth or a neglected altar, there is a polychrome, folk-style figure of St. John of Nepomuk, about 60 cm high, dating back to the mid-nineteenth century. Two figures can be seen in the saint's surroundings: the Mother of God and Christ. Above the figurines hangs a painting of the Mother of God with the Child.
