During the First World War many residents of the village of Rokity were forced into the army and sent to the front. Some of them died and was buried in mass graves across Europe. A granite monument at the Gothic church in the centre of the village, which is also a symbolic grave, was made in memory of the fallen. On the front side of the boulder 6 names of the fallen soldiers were engraved. Despite the pass of time, the monument is well-preserved.
