The road to today's size of the "Śląsk" Song and Dance Ensemble began on July 1, 1953. Stanisław Hadyna and Elwira Kamińska created a solid foundation for the contemporary artistic craftsmanship of "Silesia". Given the richness of the repertoire today, countless awards and around 200 concerts performed annually. The "Śląsk" Song and Dance Ensemble is an artistic group with enormous performance possibilities, performing not only on great world stages, but also in places deprived of access to valuable cultural offers on a daily basis. The overriding idea of the Team is to show the richness of the sources of Silesian culture against the background of the heritage of other regions of the country.
