The church was erected in the years 1949 - 1951. The church tower was completed in 1984. It was thanks to the persistence of priest Erwin Muszer that the church was built and at his request it accepted the call of the Holy Cross. It was he who also brought the cross to Strzebinia, which he found thrown out of the castle chapel in Koszęcin. Later, it was placed above the entrance to the church. On April 15, 1950, an independent pastoral station was established at the new church.
In the area of the church there is a chapel. st. Francis of Assisi and Our Lady of the Rosary together with the missionary cross.
