The parishioner Jerzy Kampczyk donated the land for the church. Construction work began in June 1983,
The church was consecrated on October 28, 1986 by the bishop of Katowice, Damian Zimoń. After the church was built, at the initiative of Fr. Bishop Czesław Domina, another important work was undertaken in 1990, which was the construction of a center for the disabled, led by Fr. Henryk Gołek. After his tragic death in 1991, Fr. Franciszek Balion, who completed the interior decoration and equipment of the church as well as the construction of the center and the cemetery chapel.
The church was consecrated on April 28, 1996 by the bishop of Gliwice, Jan Wieczorek. The bells were cast in the bell foundry of Jan Felczyński in Przemyśl, and the organ was built by Henryk Hober, an organ builder.
